Long time doubles partners, Clarence Chew and Josh Chua, finally tasted victory on the WTT circuit when they claimed their first ever Men’s Doubles title in Laos on Saturday at the WTT Feeder Vientiane 2026.

Playing in their first ever Men’s Doubles final on the WTT circuit, and a first final for Chua in all WTT Competitions, the Singaporean pair held on for a thrilling 3-2 victory over the number one seeds, Esteban Dorr and Florian Bourrassaud of France, prevailing 11-9, 3-11, 11-8, 1-11, 12-10.

Speaking after the match, Chew said, “Together with Josh, this is our first title so we are delighted as it was a tough match against a very strong opponent but we just gave our best while encouraging and believing in each other. “

Chua added, “The win today really was not easy. We went against world’s top 10 doubles ranking players and I had a small injury a few days ago during my singles match. I am really proud of me and Clarence fighting till the end despite us losing the 2nd and 4th set badly. We told ourselves to adjust and just fight for every point, one at a time and we managed to bring home the title. We hope to continue work harder and bring back not just our first title together but many more to come.”
