Team Singapore delivered a stellar performance at the conclusion of the team events at the 7th Singapore Junior & Hopes Invitational, held at the Singapore Sports School on 3 and 4 June.

Competing against fellow young talents from China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia, Singapore’s youth paddlers impressed on home ground, clinching a remarkable 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals across the U10, U12, U15, and U19 categories.

The 4 Gold medals came from standout performances from the U10 Boys, U15 Girls and U19 Boys and Girls team events, with the latter two teams overcoming their opponents from China and Hong Kong respectively in a thrilling final.

The 5 Silver and 9 Bronze medals further highlight the consistent depth and potential of the national youth development programme, especially the Junior Development Squad.

The 7th edition of the Singapore Junior & Hopes Invitational continues to serve as an important platform for identifying and nurturing young talents, while fostering regional friendships and sporting excellence.

With the team events wrapped up, attention now turns to the Singles event, as the junior athletes vie for individual glory.
