Blending experience and youth together proved successful for Singapore as Clarence Chew, 30 and Loy Ming Ying, 15, finished runners up in the Mixed Doubles at the WTT Feeder Doha 2026.

Partnering only for the third time together, with their most recent outing as a pair coming at the December SEA Games in Bangkok, the duo stunned hot favourites, Yuan Licen and Bai Siwen of China in the semifinals, pulling off an improbable 3-2 victory (11-6, 11-13, 5-11, 11-8, 11-8) to book their place in the final.

In their first WTT Feeder final as a pair, they fell 2-0 behind to the pair of Evgeny Tikhonov and Maria Panfilova, who were competing as Individual Neutral Athletes. The Singaporeans managed to claw back a set, but eventually fell to a 3-1 defeat, 9-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-8.
