
Team Singapore’s Under-15 Girls Table Tennis Team delivered a stellar performance at the prestigious Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships 2025, clinching a joint bronze medal in the U15 Girls’ Team event. This marks Singapore’s first U15 team medal at the Asian Youth level since 2019, a proud milestone for the nation’s youth table tennis scene.
The championships, currently held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, features the region’s top young talents from powerhouses such as China, Korea, Japan, and Chinese Taipei.
Singapore’s girls advanced through the group stages with grit and unity. winning two of their group ties against Krygzstan and Saudi Arabia, while losing to eventual runners up Japan, before overcoming hosts Uzbekistan in the Round of 16 and gaining a sweet measure of success against Thailand in the quarterfinals, to reach the final four. Thailand had earlier beaten Singapore in the final of the SEA Youth Championships in June, a result which saw both teams take their sport in the current competition.
Their run ended at the hands of a strong Korean side, resulting in a joint third-place finish in accordance with the tournament’s format.

Meanwhile, Singapore’s U19 Boys team finished 7th after beating Malaysia 3-2 in the 7-8 positions playoff.
