
Singapore’s young paddlers delivered an outstanding performance in Croatia at the WTT Youth Contender Varazdin 2025, sweeping the U11 Girls’ Singles podium with gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Celestine Capati led the charge with a commanding display of skill and composure, clinching the gold medal after an impressive run throughout the tournament, en route to her first ever WTT Youth series title.
Teammate Liu Xinqi battled valiantly in the final against Capati, eventually losing 1-3 (10-12, 6-11, 11-9, 8-11), to secure the silver medal, highlighting Singapore’s depth of emerging talent.
Completing the clean sweep, Eileen Cui fought her way into the semi-finals and earned a well-deserved joint bronze medal, after losing to Capati, 1-3 ( 5-11, 11-2, 6-11, 4-11). Home favourite Stella Presicki also shared the bronze, after falling to Liu, 0-3 (5-11, 8-11, 9-11).

This podium sweep represents a significant achievement for Singapore’s youth development pathway and affirms the strong foundation being built for the future of the sport .
