Table Tennis: Ser Lin Qian, 13 years old, won the silver medal in the Mini-Cadet Girls’ Singles event at the tournament, which concluded yesterday.
In the Round of 16, Ser beat TAYAPITAK Wirakarn THA 3-0, followed by another win against AOKI Sachi JPN 3-1 in the quarter-finals round. Ser continued her winning streak in the semi-finals round against KIM Taemin KOR 3-0. In the finals, Ser lost narrowly to ZHANG Jinglei CHN 2-3 (11.7, 5-11, 10-12. 11-8, 9-11)
