Team Singapore’s junior paddlers continued where they left off as they shone once more in Slovenia at the WTT Youth Contender Otocec 2025, with Liu Xinqi clinching the U11 Girls Singles title, and teammates Celestine Capati and Liang Jiayin sharing the bronze.
Liu beat home favourite Adela Vaskova in the final, coming from behind to win 3-1 (8-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-5) and clinch the title, adding to her runner up trophy from earlier at the WTT Youth Contender Varazdin 2025.
Liu had earlier beaten Liang in the semifinals in straight sets, 11-8, 11-6, 11-8, while Vaskova ended Capati’s dreams of clinching back to back winner titles, beating the Singaporean 3-1 (11-9, 11-3, 8-11, 11-8).

This triple-medal haul reinforces Singapore’s growing stature on the world stage in youth table tennis. With the next generation already making their mark in international competitions, the future of Singapore table tennis looks brighter than ever.
