
Rising star, Chevelle See, 12, delivered once more on the WTT Youth Series as she claimed a joint-3rd finish in the U13 Girls Singles event at the WTT Youth Contender Vientiane 2025 on 7 August.
Having come through the group stage unbeaten, with wins over Chanthida Nomichith and Viphada Louangdetmixay, both of Laos, she recieved a bye in the Round of 32.
She then ousted team mate Arissa Cheng in the Quarterfinals with a 3-1 win (11-7, 15-13, 10-12, 11-2), before she lost to eventual champion Sie Jhih Chen of Chinese Taipei in the semifinals, 3-0 (5-11, 3-11, 1-11).
In the U19 Mixed Doubles, Jayden Tan and Chloe Lai showed grit and determination as they impressed with their quick reflexes, smart placement, and strong teamwork, edging past tough opposition to secure a spot in the semifinals.
Having beaten opponents from Republic of Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand, they eventually lost to the Chinese Taipei pair of Tsai Tien-Yu and Wu Jia-En in the semis, going down 3-11, 8-11, 9-11.
