Position: Table Tennis Coach (Kindergarten)

Job Requirements

-       At least O level. Diploma in Sports related discipline or higher will be an advantage.

-      Sufficiently proficient in Table Tennis sport.

-      Experience in coaching Table Tennis sport, especially to children, will be an advantage.

-      6 days’ work week.

-      Daily travel to different workplace is required.

-      Proficient in English & Mandarin, written & verbal. (need to communicate with Mandarin speaking stakeholders)

-     Table Tennis NCAP or relevant coaching certification

Roles and Responsibilities

1.     To provide professional table tennis coaching services for beginners of all age groups, especially kindergarten children.

2.     To work with kindergarten principals on all matters relating to table tennis training.

3.     To promote Table Tennis sport to kindergartens

4.     To render assistance during table tennis carnivals

5.     To extend coaching services at other training centres or other programmes when required.

6.     To encourage talented players to sign up STTA Zone Training Centres programs.

7.     Any other matters as requested by CEO or Sports Development  Manager

Position: Sports Development Manager (2 years renewable contract)

Your primary duty will be promoting, managing and developing Table Tennis sport at community level in Singapore.

You will be leading the team responsible for the:

-       Promotion and development of Table Tennis at community level;

-       Active development of new Table Tennis programmes for the public;

-       Deployment of coaching staff;

-       Coordination of publicity and/or outreach events;

-       Organization of local Table Tennis tournaments;

-       Management of Technical officials’ and coaches’ matters;

-       Implementation of National Umpires courses and deployment of umpires for International/Local competitions; and

-       Implementation of National Coaching courses.

Job requirements

- Diploma or Degree, with at least two years relevant working experience;

- Good interpersonal communication and report writing skills;

- Keen interest in sports and community engagement;

- Good knowledge of sports or co-curricular activities records;      

- Must be willing to work long hours on events days; and

- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (need to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)

Position: Marketing, Publicity & Events Executive (2 years renewable contract)

Overview of Primary Responsibility

To assist the MarCom & Events Manager in marketing, publicity and events functions.

Key Duties

1. Marketing & Publicity

  • Manage the daily updates of newspaper articles
  • Maintain STTA website with regular updates on activities, events & policies
  • Handling phone calls and public enquires
  • To handle and issue all tax exempt receipts

2. Events

  • Assist in the annual fund raising
  • Assist in all promotional, publicity and outreach events organized by STTA

Additional Duties

3. Information Technology (Will be advantageous if job applicant is IT savvy)

  • Assist in STTA IT matters.

4. Others

  • Any other matters as requested by CEO or MarCom & Events Manager 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Management, Events Management or Sports Management or relevant discipline.
  • New polytechnic and degree graduates are welcomed to apply
  • Applicant with 1 – 2 years related work experience will be an advantage
