Courses for General Public

Interested to learn table tennis? You may join us at STTA for the following programmes.

Learn-To-Play Table Tennis

'Learn-To-Play' is specially catered for real beginners in Table Tennis. In the 10 sessions, you will pick up the basic rules and fundamentals of playing Table Tennis. After which, players may proceed to 'Continue-To-Play' for further improvement in the sport.

1. Introduction to Table Tennis
2. How to Hold the Paddle
3. Feel the Bounce
4. Forehand Attack
5. Backhand Block/Defense
6. Brief History & Trends of Table Tennis
7. Rules of the Game
8. Basic Footwork
9. Basic Service Skills
10. Evaluation Session

Course fees $250 for 10 lessons (w.e.f. 1st January 2009);
Tuesday: 7.30pm to 9.30pm; or
Saturdays: 4.30pm to 6.30pm

Venue:
Singapore Table Tennis Association (next to Toa Payoh Stadium)

Continue-To-Play Table Tennis

'Continue-To-Play' is a follow up course specially prepared for beginners who have completed the 'Learn-To-Play' program and wish to further improve and strengthen their basic techniques of the game.
Course fees: $250 for 10 lessons (w.e.f. 1st January 2009);
Tuesdays 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Singapore Table Tennis Association (next to Toa Payoh Stadium)

PCF Kindergarten

To introduce table tennis to Kindergarten kids with the aim of arousing their interest and teaching them the basic skills of the sport, STTA has partnered with a number of constituencies and PCF Kindergartens to hold table tennis lessons. The programme had been piloted at Nee Soon South Constituency from January 2009 and students with potential will be invited to our zone centres for further training.
