2009 Launch of Yishun zone centre as the 5th training centre for the youth.
2009 Our youth team won a bronze medal in the Asian Youth Games 2009 Table Tennis Mixed Team event
2009 Launch of PCF Kindergarten table tennis programme
2009 STTA held it's first Fund Raising Dinner and had the honor of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as our Guest-of-Honor
2008 Election of new Management Committee
2008 Singapore's Women Table Tennis Team won the country's first Olympic silver medal in Beijing
2008 STTA organized the 14th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships under the authority of the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU)
2008 STTA hosted it's 3rd International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pro Tour event in Singapore
2006 STTA hosted it's 2nd International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pro Tour event in Singapore
2006 Singapore's men's and women's team replicated their 2002 Commonwealth Games success by clinching a total of 11 medals (4 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze) at the 2006 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne, Australia
2006 STTA hosted the South East Asian Table Tennis Championships in Singapore
2004 Li Jia Wei achieved fourth position in the Athens Olympics
2004 STTA hosted it's first International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pro-tour event in Singapore
2002 Both men's and women's team won an impressive total of 11 medals (3 Gold, 1 Silver and 7 Bronze) at the 17th Commonwealth Games held in Manchester, England. This is the first time that the national paddlers won medals at the Commonwealth Games.
2002 The National Women's Team won 2 bronze medals at the 14th Asian Games held in Busan, Korea. This was significant as table tennis's last Asian Games medal was won 40 years ago.
2001 Opening of the upgraded training hall at Toa Payoh
2000 Jing Jun Hong achieved fourth position in the Sydney Olympics


Years 1950 - 1999
1996 STTA brought in the first batch of athletes under the foreign talent scheme
1994 4 zone centres were set up to focus on youth development (Bishan, Clementi, Tampines and Toa Payoh)
1985 Opening of Singapore Table Tennis Academy at Toa Payoh
1962 The National Men's Team won bronze medal in the 4th Asian Games held in Jakarta, their first medal in the Asian Games
1961 Table tennis's first medal at the SEA Peninsular Games (SEAP) was won by the National Men's Team. They won a silver medal in the 2nd SEAP Games held in Rangoon, Burma
1954 At the third Asian Table Tennis Championships, the National Men's Team emerged champion in the Men's Doubles. This was Singapore's first win in a major table tennis tournament
1952 STTA organized the first Asian Table Tennis Championships in Singapore
1952 Singapore made her debut international appearance in the 19th World Championships hosted by Bombay, India

1947 STTA became a member of the International Table Tennis Federation
1941-1945 Table tennis activities were suspended during the Pacific War
1934 Introduced women's events at the 3rd National Table Tennis Championships
1932 STTA organized the first National Table Tennis Championships with only one event, the Men's Singles
1931 Singapore Table Tennis Association was set up
1920s Table Tennis was introduced to Singapore by the British
